Sona 1

Located in the rolling hills of the fertile Veraguas Valley, less than an hour drive from the town of Sona and only 2 short miles from some of the pacific beaches nearest to the Island of Coiba. A nature resort island that has been zoned as a national tourist area in Panama. Not only is there the return from the fast growing teak trees in this project but land prices are sure to rise over time as this area becomes more developed. Some of the larger native trees were left in this plantation to provide habitat to the native wild life and leave some bio-diversity within the plantation. Planted in the summer of 2001 the trees are 5 years old so you can see the spectacular growth that is happening on this plantation and could be harvesting the cash crop in 17 to 22 years from now. This 33 hectare project was planned, planted and is maintained by a top quality forestry engineer. It is fully ANAM certified and had been overseen by Panama Forestry a fully licensed and certified reforestation organization.
